Nifty top ten volume momentum stocks for the week comprised of stocks from Nifty50, Nifty250 and Nifty500 indices. Stocks fron Nifty500 dominated the list as the accounted for six out of ten stocks. Nifty250 stocks accounted for three positions and Nifty50 had a sole representation.
Adani Power (NSE: ADANIPOWER) was the topmost performer both in terms of volume and price gains. ADANIPOWER registered 6180% spike in the traded volume during last week. The stock delivered stunning price returns of 56% during the week. ADANIPOWER stock rose to Rs 59.7 from Rs 38.35. Schaeffler India (NSE: SCHAEFFLER) registered 913% spike in the traded volume of stock during the week. SCHAEFFLER delivered the second highest price gains during the week. The stock delivered 36% price returns during the week. It rose to Rs 3920 from Rs 2891. Simplex Infrastructure (NSE: SIMPLEXINF) registered 989% spike in the traded volume of the stock. SIMPLEXINF stock delivered 25.3% price gains during the week. Its stock price rose to Rs 40.35 from Rs 32.2.
NCC ltd (NSE: NCC) and Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (NSE: DHFL) both delivered 21% price returns during the week. DHFL stock registered 3626% spike in the traded volume during the week. Its stock price rose to Rs 32.8 from Rs 27.05. NCC registered only 462% spike in the traded volume during the week but delivered 21% price returns. Its stock price rose to Rs 51.85 from Rs 42.9.
